CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

Chamber Orchestra consists of the most advanced group of string musicians in the Poly Music Program. Limited to a small group of strings, all from Symphony Orchestra, they perform as an advanced level strings ensemble, and also re-form as smaller ensembles (trios, quartets, etc.) for additional performances. The group also performs at various community functions and festivals throughout the year.

SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

The Symphony Orchestra is split in two separate ensembles. These ensembles provide the opportunity to combine advanced string players and winds from Symphonic Winds class to perform a wide range of major works from professional level orchestra repertoire and also to perform as a separate orchestra performing literature for strings alone. The Poly Symphony Orchestra has been recognized as one of the premiere high school orchestras in the country.

SYMPHONY STRINGS

The Symphony Strings is comprised of beginning to intermediate players of traditional orchestral string instruments (violins, viols, cellos, basses and a harp). With a large number of students participating in this group, the ensemble serves many purposes, including preparing students for future involvement in the Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra.
